These courses were designed for both the experienced and inexperienced operators of Aerial Devices.  Courses are available for:

• Manlift includes heights exceeding 80 feet

• Scissor Lift with or without out riggers

• Bucket trucks... insulated or non- insulated

 Training Includes:

• Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Regulations (section 15)

• Review of Part 19  and Part 9 of the OH&S code

• Importance of maintaining complete and accurate log books/ records

• Review of the manufacture's operating manual and associated safety manuals

• Hazard assessment and establishing effective controls

• Roles responsibility and obligations of workers and employers

• Safe operating principles such as balance/ tip loading

• Basic components of the aerial device including platform/ lower controls; boom and chassis

• Pre-flight and pre-operational inspection of the unit

• Proper refueling precautions and practices

• Fall protection safety while working in the unit

• Maneuvering techniques

• Operator safety including emergency response

• Working in the vinicity of electrical lines and equipment
