ConTech Safety and Training Ltd provides their fall protection course based on the most current manufacture and legislative information. 

Fall Protection Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this fall protection program and achieving a minimum of 85% on a written exam, participants will be able to:

 ·         list at least 6 roles, responsibilities and obligations of the employer and workers related to fall protection 

·         complete a fall protection plan 

·         identify the approvals necessary for all fall protection equipment 

·         describe a minimum of 10 fall hazards  

·         provide a minimum of 2 controls for each type of hazard 

·         inspect and don basic fall protection equipment including the anchor, body harnesses and all connectors including lanyards, self retracting mechanisms and carabineers

 ·         illustrate 6 Passive fall protection systems identifying advantages and disadvantages of each

 ·         draw and identify component ratings of a travel restraint system 

·         draw and identify component ratings of a basic fall arrest system 

·         draw and identify component ratings of a vertical life line fall arrest system 

·         calculate total fall distance 

·         calculate free fall distance 

·         identify swing fall hazards 

·         recognize the hazards associated with suspension trauma and some effective measures to reduce the effects

·         identify fall protection requirements for ladders, manlifts and scissor lifts

·         recognize the hazards associated with suspension trauma and some effective measures to reduce the effects
