New for 2010:  Train the Trainer package now complete for the Loader and Backhoe

This safety workshop has been designed to provide both the experienced and inexperienced operator with the necessary information and skills to safety operate their loader/ backhoe.  Though this course does not focus on operational competencies, it will provide opportunities for practice and evaluation.

Training Includes:

• Review of Part 19 of the OH&S code 

• Review of Part 22 of the OH&S code

• Review of section 15 of the OH&S regulation

• Elements of being a professional operator

• Identification of the basic components of the loader/ backhoe

• Review of the manufacture's operating manual

• Identification of all major components

• Proper refuelling precautions and practices

• Importance of maintaining complete and accurate log books/ records

• Conduct a pre-flight and pre-operational inspection of the unit

• Safe operating principles including any attachments

• Loader operator safety

• Hands-on loader evaluation
