24 Hour Program
Given this 24 hour workshop participants will inspect and maintain gas filled equipment following the recommendations of the manufacture and industry best work practices.
Participants will also be able to demonstrate the skill necessary to construct/ install new SF6 switchgear/ equipment.
Participants will be able to react in a safe manner to an emergency situation relating to the accidental release from the switchgear or from the maintenance equipment.

Additional Learning Opportunities
  1. To provide a 24 hour hands-on technical program for persons who inspect, maintain and construct SF6 switchgear and equipment.
  2. To make some technical recommendations relating to the inspection and maintenance of gas insulated switchgear and equipment
  3. To answer any technical related questions relating to the gas insulated switchgear
  4. To provide recommendations relating to the emergency response actions to be taken in event of a station fault or abnormal operation
  5. To provide an opportunity for practice to condition and fill a gas filled compartment
  6. To provide an opportunity to practice the inspection tests such as pressure reading, moisture analysis, content reading and contaminant detection.
