  • Calculate the exposure voltage that can exist on a PPG while experiencing a system fault
  • Determining the best method of installing grounds
  • Discuss the effect of improperly installed PPG
  • Determine the effective PPE for installing PPG
  • Review of basic electrical theory, jargon and industry terminology, symbols and single line information
  • Review how electrical faults and accidents can occur in normal and abnormal situations
  • Review how the difference in potential, amount of current available, the path taken by the current, operating frequency including DC currents and preventative maintenance can have either have a positive or negative effect on worker/ equipment/ public safety.
  • Review of the potential effects of electromagnetic fields from electrical equipment and cable systems
  • Potential effects of electrical energy on people and equipment as related to shock hazards.
